About You

The problems you’re experiencing now will have their origins in your past experiences and conditioning.

These will have affected how you see yourself, what you believe you deserve, how you’ve learnt to express yourself and your needs, and the extent to which you’re aware of how your thinking, feeling and behaviour affects other people too. In short – your ‘self-awareness’.

Even the situations that seem to be caused by someone else are really about what you are allowing into your life based upon your own past – and how this has shaped your perceptions, thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

I know first hand how powerful the right help and guidance can be – and the enormous benefits of being able to change those old patterns and dramas … to become free to create a much calmer, happier and richly rewarding future!

We all deserve to have happy and respectful relationships both at home and at work – and when we can see, understand and change our old ways of making things worse for ourselves we can start reap the rewards in many different ways.

I know, both personally and professionally that we are all capable of great change and growth – we just need the right sort of help to get us to where we want to be.

About Me

My own style of Therapeutic Mentoring – also called Personal Consultant/Consultancy, Personal Guide, and Personal Mentor – works on all levels.

I offer help with what is going wrong, or is missing for you in the present time – as well as unearthing the underlying reasons why, and assisting you to find answers, strategies, insights and new ways to think, feel, respond and behave.

My ‘Home’ page menu navigation will take you through to the relevant page for each of the ways you can work with me.

As a psychotherapist (MSc) and psychologist for over 20 years I specialise in recovery from childhood trauma – also called Adverse Childhood Experiences or A.C.E. – and Toxic Parents. These are at the root of many people’s present-day difficulties.

My work in this area is covered on my other website – where there are lots of free resources, online self-help workshops and short courses, and therapeutic coaching programmes.

The affects of a troubled childhood shows itself in adulthood in many ways – in all of our relationships, the type of parent we are to our children, and even our work and business success.

These dark echoes from the past show up as anxiety disorders, depression, mood swings, emotional over-reacting, irrational fears and phobias, low self-esteem, shame and confidence issues, indecisiveness, procrastination, problems with relationships and intimacy, problems with your eating and weight, issues around money – gambling and over or under-spending, substance addiction and dependence, pornography and sex, difficulties with coping as a parent, problems with working relationships and authority figures, how much you can trust other people, issues around standing out and being seen and heard, negative self-talk and low expectations, difficulty expressing yourself and understanding the emotions of other people too .

I work with the causes of your difficulties, and help you to heal your emotional wounds and to make peace with your past – which frees you up to live a brighter future… as a better person, parent, partner and professional!

I’ll use all that I’ve learnt and experienced in the last 28 years of my own long journey, to be able to now give you the ‘short cut’ – and help you to make the changes you want to make to your current circumstances and to your life.

Why choose to work with me?

I’m now a highly-skilled and experienced psychotherapist, psychologist, coach and mentor. I’ve spent many years (and many thousands of pounds!) making my own big shift – beyond my early abusive childhood and negative conditioning – to create a much better life than the one I had handed down to me.

I can now share all that I’ve learnt to help you on your own journey to a better life.

  • I have been a counsellor since 1995 and a psychotherapist since 2002.
  • I have a Masters Degree in Integrative Psychotherapy.
  • I also have a Diploma in Supervision – which means that I am qualified to oversee and supervise the work of other therapists.
  • I have created two new approaches to therapeutic help – The Ripple Effect Process and Quantum Psyche Process – both now available as online self-help methods
  • I am the author of two books – each one introduces one of my own new ‘whole-brain and holistic’ approaches to psychological, emotional and physical well-being.

 I am also the creator of a series of 5 self-help E-courses and 10 online self-help workshops.

I integrate the most effective methods from the very broad range of therapy styles I have studied over the last 30 years. I know what works and what doesn’t!

I am guided by the Ethical Standards and guidelines of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP); the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP); the National Council for Psychotherapy (NCP); and the Association of Integrative Coach-Therapist Professionals (AICTP)
